Are Clip in Veneers Suitable for Me?

Yes they most likely are perfectly fine for you. We don’t require you to have certain teeth to be suitable as long as you have more than 4 teeth on your upper arch or 4 teeth on your lower arch.

Why Are My Clip Ins Not Covering My Back Teeth?

We only go back to your 6’s (the first molars) due to your bite as a lot of customers break the clip ins due to chewing. It’s also a more comfortable fit not being attached to the back teeth.

When you have taken your impression if it’s not taken your back teeth or it’s not been pushed up or down enough to get a full impression of the back teeth this will also stop the Clip In’s going to the back teeth.

We can’t cover you on your warranty if you want the Clips In’s going right to the back teeth as our lab advise against this. If you have missing teeth at the back we can only add on an extra 1 or 2 teeth maximum. However not every customer would be suitable for extra teeth due to their bite and existing teeth.

What is the Difference Between Clip in Veneers and Permanent Porcelain Veneers?

Clip in Veneers are a product which you remove or wear as you please. They are not glued, screwed or fixed permanently into your mouth. Clip in Veneers are a painless product. They are a full piece which is handmade to create the appearance of individual teeth. Porcelain veneers are permanently fixed in your mouth by a dentist. Your natural teeth will be shaven down before the porcelain veneers are fitted and they are individual to each tooth.

Do They Stain?

No. The Clip in Veneers should not stain as they are made from a non-porous material. However if the material gets scratched then this is when the colour can start to change due to other material such as red wine or coffee getting into the scratches. To prevent any scratches you need to look after your veneers correctly. DO NOT use toothpaste or a toothbrush on them. You can leave them in a Milton sterilising solution for a deeper clean as and when needed. The material is non-toxic and hypo-allergenic. DO NOT clean with HOT WATER only warm or cold water should be used.

Do I Need to See a Dentist?

No. You don’t need to see the dentist as you are taking the impressions yourself. However good oral hygiene and regular dental visits is advised at all times. Please note – if you have loose, cracked, broken or weak crowns/veneers or teeth we strongly advise you to consult your general dental practitioner before ordering our product.

What Are the Clip in Veneers Made From?

Clip In Veneers are created from a flexible resin. This product is designed to be worn over your natural teeth to create a whiter, straighter full smile. The material used is a certified dental grade material and safe to be in your mouth – Thermoplastic Bio Acytel Resin. The product is BPA and Monomer free. The material used means the finished product is flexible but durable.

How do they stay in without falling out?

The Clip in Veneers are designed to fit over your natural teeth. They are durable, flexible and comfortable to wear. They are very easy to insert and remove whenever required. The Clip in Veneers simply slide over your natural teeth. You DO NOT need to use poly grip or have the veneers bonded for them to stay securely in place. The Clip In Veneers stay in place using the natural shape of your teeth. They finish on your gum line with no overlap to your gum. The Clip in Veneers DO NOT cover the roof of your mouth. Making the product easy to get used to. The finished product is very thin over your natural teeth.

If you order before 11:30am Monday to Thursday (excluding bank/public holidays) then your impression kit will be dispatched the same day but depending on the delivery service you select at checkout the impression kit will either be with you on the next working day- if Next day Delivery was paid for at checkout or 2-3 working days if standard delivery was paid for at checkout. If you order after 11:30am on a Thursday your order may not arrive until the following Monday if next day delivery has been selected or later in the week if standard delivery has been selected due to the weekend.

We send our impression kits by ROYAL MAIL 48 hour delivery or ROYAL MAIL next day delivery service if your address is in the United Kingdom. If you are not in for the delivery ROYAL MAIL will leave a calling card. You will need to contact ROYAL MAIL DIRECTLY ONLINE or visit your local sorting office, this information will be on the calling card left for you.

You will be able to either collect the parcel in person or arrange a re delivery directly with ROYAL MAIL. If you are in Europe or the rest of the world we charge extra for delivery. You can call/message or email us, and we can send you a list of quotes for express delivery so you can choose, or please continue to checkout to proceed with the standard delivery. As at 1st March 2023, the cost of standard European delivery is £19.99 and will take 5 to 7 working days (Royal Mail signed for international service). Standard Rest of the World delivery is £24.99 and will take 7 to 10 working days (Royal Mail signed for international service).

How do I look after and clean my Clip in Veneers?

We do provide you with an after care sheet which you MUST read. We strongly advise when not wearing your veneers to always keep them in the case we provided when you received your product. We advise that you DO NOT use toothpaste or a toothbrush to clean them as this will scratch the material. For a deeper clean leave in Milton  sterilising solution a few times a week. DO NOT clean with HOT WATER only warm or cold water should be used. We do advise you to remove the veneers when eating and drinking as this will make the product last longer due to the wear on the material when chewing foods. AWAYS KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN AND ANIMALS.

Are the Clip in Veneers bulky?

Clip in Veneers are made very thin, however when you first receive your veneers we advise you to only wear the upper set for a few days while you get used to them. Your mouth is very sensitive and can take a little time to adjust to the product. The more you wear the veneers, the quicker you will get used to them. Some customers take a few hours, some take a few days, and some a few weeks. Some customers take to them immediately and can wear both sets together straight away. Everyone’s experience is different.

Please bear in mind every customers teeth are different. Some customers Clip In’s may be thicker in certain areas due to the position of their teeth. Therefore to make their teeth appear straighter extra material will need to be added to these areas.

PLEASE REMEMBER -YOUR natural teeth are the template we work from to create the clip in veneers, we CAN’T make YOUR teeth any smaller. We have to work of the LARGEST tooth in YOUR mouth to make your overall smile appear whiter, straighter and fuller.

What is an impression kit?

The impression kit includes all the material and instructions to take impressions of your natural teeth so we can then create your Clip in Veneers from the impressions you provide us. This process should only take you 20/30 minutes at home.

Do we offer a payment plan or finance?

Yes we have a several options to pay:

1) Order directly on the website and pay in full

2) Order directly on the website and pay £100 for the impressions kit. Pay the remaining balance once we receive your impressions back.

3) Klarna, Laybuy and Clearpay

The finance providers credit agreements above are not regulated by the FCA. Use of these and any missed payments may affect your ability to obtain credit from them and other lenders. 18+, UK residents only. Subject to status. You may incur additional payment fees for late or missed payments.

What if I want to get my Clip in Veneers asap?

Fast track service is available for £100 extra. This can be selected at checkout or contact us directly to discuss with Customer Services regarding delivery times available.

We advise the time frame is approx. 3 working days for the Clip In Veneers to leave us once we get the kit back. Once the product has left us please allow 1-3 working days for delivery.

We also offer 24 hour FAST TRACK service for existing customers as long as we have an accepted impression on file and your teeth have not changed.

(We can’t guarantee delivery company time frames, as they are a 3rd party business to Need That Smile).

Do you need a minimum amount of teeth for the Clip in Veneers to be suitable for the product?

As long as you have more than 4 teeth on your upper arch and 4 teeth on your lower arch then you ARE suitable. We DO NOT need you to have teeth 4 or 5 for the Clip in Veneers to be successful.

Is there any pain during the process?

NO. We do not shave down your natural teeth. No injections or pain involved in the process. However once you receive the product if you feel it’s uncomfortable at all then please contact us asap as you may just need a small alteration which often can be done yourself with advice from us over the phone. This should only take a matter of seconds to do.

How do they feel in my mouth?

This is very different for every customer. Some customers take a few hours to get used to them and some take a few days. Can I choose the size the Clip in Veneers will be?

No unfortunately not. Your natural teeth are the template we use to create the final product. Once an impression has been taken of your natural teeth we use the largest tooth in your mouth to start to create a straighter, fuller, whiter smile. We can’t make your teeth any smaller than they are naturally. However we can make your smile appear straighter, fill in any gaps or missing teeth you have and make your overall smile appear whiter. We can make smaller teeth slightly larger.

How many shades are available?

We have 3 shades that are the most popular:

BL1 – Brightest white- Fake and shiny look.

BL3 – First bleach version – Natural white – our most popular colour.

B1 – Natural colour – Creamy/White – appears like a natural colour tooth would be.

Do the Clip in Veneers give you a lisp?

No you will not have a long lasting lisp. As your mouth is such a sensitive part of your body, it may take a few hours or a few days for your tongue to reposition just like if you had permanent porcelain veneers or dentures etc. The more you talk the quicker you will speak normally again. Not every customer experiences a lisp. If you feel your lisp lasts longer than a week please contact us asap as you may need a slight alteration to resolve the issue.

Can I eat and drink in my Clip in Veneers?

YES you can eat and drink in the veneers however we strongly advise you NOT TO. If you don’t eat and drink in them they should last you longer. As the product is made from a material that the more you eat and drink with them in the quicker the material will wear down. For the product to last longer please refrain from eating and drinking in the product. However the final decision is yours. If you do want to eat in them we advise soft foods only, nothing hard for example apples, nuts, steaks, meat on the bone etc.

Can I wear the Clip in Veneers over crowns, bridges, dentures, veneers or plates?

Yes Clip in Veneers can be placed over all of the above however if any of the above are loose and removable by yourself we would advise to take your impressions without them in. Then wear the Clip in Veneers without them as this will make the veneers more stable. If any of the above are permanently fixed in your mouth then DO NOT remove them to wear veneers.

What does my FREE 30 DAY Manufacturers alterations warranty cover?

We offer a FREE 30 DAY manufacturer’s alteration warranty with each product. This is activated on the day the Clip ins are delivered to you.

Under this warranty we offer FREE UNLIMITED ALTERATIONS to ensure the product fits the customers correctly. It is the customers responsibility to contact the Alterations team on WHATSAPP MESSAGE only this number is provided on the AFTERCARE BOOKLET YOU RECEIVE  WITH THE CLIP IN VENEERS between 10am – 6 pm Monday to Friday with the photos requested below. We need 2 photos sending to us on WHATSAPP only first so we can see what you can see. Then we can help you further.

The customer MUST message the ALTERATIONS TEAM on this WhatsApp number within the first 30 days of receiving the clip ins to activate the 30 day manufacturers warranty.

If there is no contact within 30 days from the customer, the alterations warranty will become invalid. The customer WILL KNOW once they try the product in if any of the following needs altering.

What do I do if the Clip in Veneers don’t fit?

Once you receive your veneers please read the aftercare sheet, and then try in your veneers. Once you have fitted them, if they are too loose, too tight, your gum line is visible or they extend over your gum. DO NOT PANIC. These are simple alterations that can be sorted out in a matter of minutes. YOU HAVE BEEN ADVISED THIS BEFORE YOU ORDERED AND IN THE IMPRESSION KIT INFORMATION that alterations may be required DO NOT PANIC it is easily fixed.

WE OFFER FREE  30 day manufacturers ALTERATIONS warranty WHEN YOU FIRST RECEIVE THE CLIP INS.

Alterations are not faults, these can include but not exclusive to the Clip Ins being:

  • Too loose.
  • Too tight (YOU MUST NOT WEAR THE CLIP INS AND CONTACT US ASAP.)
  • Protruding over or under the gum line or rubbing on your gums causing discomfort (YOU MUST NOT WEAR THE CLIP INS AND CONTACT US ASAP.)
  • Cracks / Holes during initial fitting or on delivery.
  • Can’t close your mouth (This is temporary you need get used to the product).
  • Lip sticks out (This is temporary you need to get used to the product).

CLIP INS CAN BE ALTERED EASILY; IT IS THE CUSTOMERS RESPONSIBILITY TO CONTACT NEED THAT SMILE FOR ALTERATIONS.

What does my FREE 6 MONTH repair warranty cover?

We offer a FREE 6 MONTH warranty for Repair.

This 6 MONTH warranty starts the day after the 30 day manufacturers warranty ends. It is in the customers best interest to get any alterations resolved within the first 30 days of receiving the Clip ins, to then benefit from a full 6 MONTH repair warranty.

Please refer to the terms and conditions for full warranty details.

What you ARE covered under:

  • Simple breaks or simple chips from wear and tear over time
  • No more than 2 breaks in one arch can been deemed as repairable. However ALL of the pieces MUST be returned for repair under the free warranty.
  • If there is extensive damage and breaks in more than 2 places or all the Clip ins is not returned to us this will need to be reviewed by Need That Smile and a further charge may apply as this may need a full remake of the clip ins due to the damage caused.

What you are NOT covered under:

  • DO NOT use any brush including a toothbrush to clean them
  • DO NOT rinse under tap water
  • DO NOT use toothpaste to clean them
  • DO NOT use an ear bud to clean them
  • DO NOT sleep with the Clip ins in your mouth
  • Pets / chewing them
  • Lost Clip ins
  • Attempted repairs by the customer for example using glue to repair the Clip ins
  • Eating anything hard or chewy – e.g., nuts, steaks, meat on the bone, chocolate, French sticks etc. as your bite will be too hard when eating this type of food
  • If the Clip ins are loose in the customers mouth this may cause cracks / breaks. It is the customers responsibility to contact NTS ASAP for an alteration if they are loose, so the product does not break

How long does the process take from start to finish?

Once your impressions kit has been ordered we will post this on a next day delivery service, depending on your postcode and the time your initially ordered. Once received it depends on how quickly you return the impression kit to us and pay the remaining balance. Once payment is made in full the finished product will leave us in APPROX 7-12 working days from the next working day after you have paid in full. For example if you pay on a Tuesday your approx 7-12 working days will start from Wednesday.

Then please allow 1-3 working days for delivery (We cant guarantee this delivery time frame as the delivery company is a 3rd party to Need that smile)

Please bear in mind you may need a few alterations. So if you need your veneers for a certain occasion please let us know ASAP and allow enough time for alterations once the product has been received. IF YOU NEED YOUR VENEERS QUICKER THAN the approx 7-12 working days, we offer a FAST TRACK service for an extra £100 (however alteration may still be needed).

What happens if my impressions are incorrect?

If you follow the instructions on our Taking Impressions page, video and booklet, you should not have any issues with your impressions. However, if your impressions are rejected by the lab we will contact you by text and email advising you what the issues are.

You will now need to purchase another impressions kit at a discounted price.

Do the Clip in Veneers damage my natural teeth?

No. As the veneers are handmade to only fit your natural teeth they will not damage them. We do not shave down, remove or grind down any of your natural teeth or change any aspect of your natural teeth. The Clip in Veneers give an appearance of straighter, whiter, fuller teeth. Once you remove the product your natural teeth remain the same. They do not cause damage, decay or plaque; you must attend regular dental appointments and maintain good oral hygiene.

Can I come in and see you?

We don’t offer this service. We sell 1000’s of impression kits to customers all over the UK and the world. ALL of our before and after photos are from customers who have ordered a kit and completed this at home with help from our impressions online video. The kits are easy to do as long as you follow our advise. Please don’t overthink the impressions process. If you are still nervous or unsure please contact our Customer Services team so we can talk you through the process before you decide if you want to order.

What is the refunds policy?

We DO NOT offer refunds as the Clip in Veneers are a bespoke handmade product which are made to measure and will ONLY FIT YOUR TEETH and therefore can’t be resold. Also due to hygiene purpose we can’t accept Clip In Veneers back for a refund. You need to do all your research and ask all the questions before you decide to purchase. We ONLY OFFER ALTERATIONS.

By purchasing from our website or signing the terms and conditions in person you are consenting to our terms and wavering the right to a refund. If you do not agree to our terms and conditions DO NOT ORDER FROM OUR WEBSITE OR SIGN OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS. If you order an impression kit from us you have 14 days from the day you receive the kit to return it for a refund. However the kit needs to be unused and fully intact to qualify for a refund. Once any of the kit is used the refund policy becomes invalid.

I don’t like my Clip in Veneers can I have a refund?

No. Unfortunately not once you have used your impressions kit and work has started to create the veneers, we will have incurred material costs and labour costs as we can’t reuse the material. If the customer is unhappy with the final product this is usually due to an impression issue caused by a poor impression provided by yourself. If this occurs we simply alter the first set of veneers depending on the issue, or send out a new impression kit for better quality impressions to be achieved ending in a better quality product and a satisfied customers. Please bear in mind the Clip in Veneers are created and designed from impressions of your natural teeth. These impressions have been taken by yourself. If the impressions are incorrect and poor quality then the final clip in veneer product will not fit your teeth correctly as we don’t create the product from your natural teeth we create it from your impressions which you provide. We will do our up most to provide you with all the information you need to provide a good quality impressions.
